Postgraduate Education
There are 29 supervisors for degree candidates. The disciplines include Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Endodontics, Oral Medicine, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Public Health, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Implantology, Dental Materials, Oral Histopathology, etc. Approximately 50 students are recruited every year. Two types of degree are available, including research-based and training-based ones.
Training Objective: To cultivate highly qualified talents with excellent professional skills to be competent in science research, teaching and clinical services. The training duration is 3 years. Two types of degree courses are provided: for research-based program, there are 8 coursed with 26 credits; while for training-based program, there are 6 courses with 23 credits. Master of Dental Science is granted after completion of the training on research, teaching and clinical practice.
Research-based Program emphasizes on the capability of science research. Thesis and publication are required to be granted Master’s degree.
Training-based Program emphasizes on clinical skills.
Ph.D Program:
So far, there have been 8 supervisors for doctoral degree candidates. The college started to recruit doctoral candidates since 2007. The enrollment discipline is Clinical Science of Stomatology. Major research fields include Craniomaxillofacial Deformities, Foundation and Clinic Research Basic on Maxillofacial Tumor, Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Oral Microbiology, Diseases of Salivary Glands, Endodontics, etc.
