The history of Guangxi Medical University College of Stomatology (GXMUCS) began from 1935 with the establishment of Department of Stomatology, Guangxi Medical College (the former Guangxi Medical University), then the development of Guangxi’s stomatological history ushers in a brand-new chapter. In 1978, the Stomatological Discipline of Guangxi Medical College was set up, providing five-year course leading to a bachelor degree in dentistry. In 1983, it was developed into the Stomatological Faculty of Guangxi Medical College renamed as the College of Stomatology of Guangxi Medical University in 1998. As a nationally-recognized leading dental school and  the largest provider of oral health care service in Guangxi, GXMUCS is dedicated to merging higher education and  research with community service.

Providing an ideal setting for learning research, the College of Stomatology has turned out, classes upon class, excellent dental professionals to serve in our communities. High-level faculty and  staff, stimulating education programs, leading-edge facilities for research exciting social activities—all contribute to making GXMUCS an unparalleled dental school in Guangxi. The college offers professional courses in dentistry, undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD education to students from both home abroad.

GXMUCS is also a main center in dental research. Wide-ranging research projects have been conducted over multiple areas, some of which were funded by the National Nature Science Foundation of China. Great achievements have been made in various fields and published in both national and international dental journals.

Since its establishment in 1993, the affiliated stomatological hospital has developed into one of the most advanced dental hospitals in China and the largest one in Guangxi. It strives to create a favorable environment both for patients and  students.
