A Delegation from New York University visited GXMUCS
On March 10, 2018, a 4-member delegation includes Jessica Hilburg John McIntosh, deputy deans of the College of Dentistry, New York University, etc visited GXMUCS. The delegation received a warm welcome from Prof. Zhou Nuo, Vice President Dean of GXMUCS, Prof. Nong Xiaolin, Vice Dean of GXMUCS, Xu Sheng, Director of Teaching Affairs Office, etc.
Since GXMUCS the College of Dentistry of New York University established sister schools in October 2016, the friendly exchanges friendship between the two sides have been deepened. Dr Danny Lo, Director of the Asia Pacific Affairs Department has organized many dental professors visiting GXMUCS for numerous times. Each year, GXMUCS also sends a number of faculties to study at New York University.
Accompanied by Prof. Zhou, the delegation visited Simulated Training Base for Dental Practice, Dental Teaching Experiment Center, College History Museum, Guangxi Clinical Research Center for Craniofacial Deformity, Guangxi Key Laboratory of Oral Maxillofacial Rehabilitation Reconstruction, the clinical departments, the constructing site of ASEAN International College of Stomatology.
During the visit, the two sides held a discussion. Prof. Zhou first reviewed the exchanges collaboration between the two sides over the past few years, proposed new cooperation on postgraduate education dentist training. He also hoped to build GXMUCS into an advanced institute of high learning of stomatology in the Asia-pacific region. The two deputy deans of the delegation said that New York University always attaches great importance to the cooperation with GXMUCS highly praises the college’s development achievements in recent years. They also expressed that they will strengthen cooperation exchanges between the two sides on patient care, education research.
After friendly consultations, the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on issues such as training program planning mutual recognition of academic qualifications, which laid a solid foundation for the comprehensive cooperation between the two sides in the fields of talent cultivation, faculty exchange, scientific research, etc.
